Anti-Discrimination Posters

Check out Mackenzie's work! Click on the image to see it full size so you can read the text.

"I chose a picture of people holding hands and one of them's left out because that's what discrimination feels like.

The smiley face and sad face represent how you feel when people are nice compared to how you feel when discrimination is happening."

There are some great ideas here. What changes would increase its visual impact?

Why do you think Mrs Buchanan only let the students use one image on their posters?

Think about what Mrs Buchanan and the Room 5 students shared with us today: use fewer words and limited colours to make your poster stand out.

There are some effective slogans hiding in Millie's poster. Which messages do you think are the most powerful? What sets them apart?

Why didn't the Room 5 posters have the students' names on them?

Remember, you have until Friday to make the best poster you can.
